A Common Sense Approach to Real Estate

Back in the 1800’s the first real estate professionals used to meet weekly to share properties they were selling and exchange information with each other. Prior to the internet this information exchange later morphed into a system where cooperating agencies would fax their listings into a central location, which was then shared amongst the cooperating members, who in turn would share the information with the public. Today the majority of information that consumers see on the web it input by real estate professionals into a series of data bases, which are shared with the public through a variety of public facing real estate websites. These sites often mislead the consumer about who the true listing agent is. The majority of these sites make money by selling the inquiries back to other agents who are willing to pay for the leads, yet know very little if anything about the properties.
